about

For the first time ever, Delay's first studio full length is available for digital download. Not our first recording and not our last, though some old heads say it's our best. We were all a boisterous but sweet-sixteen, full of indefatigable punk energy, positivity and crushing naivety. There is a buoyancy in the beat of our teen angst. Songs about never working, cartoons, birthday parties, baseball, bowling, love and the state of Ohio. I smile when I hear this recording and the start laughing out loud. I also keep a morsel of pride for us as a trio, making something together, making art together while ignoring other people's standards for how that might look or sound. There's something life affirming about it.

Our friend Brad Way encouraged us to get our songs tight and make a CD. He recorded it for free in what I remember being a short but joyous (and educational) time.
About 100 CDs were manufactured at (and probably by) Pat Crann's. We ran his mom's printer out of ink and ran the CD burner non-stop.
Between The Lines was recorded at Metrosync in Cleveland, Ohio. We were awarded recording time as a part of the Mountain Dew High School Rock Off that took place at The Odeon in The Flats. It appeared on a compilation CD of all the bands that made to the "finals." Big thanks to "Doc Rock" for all the encouragement when it really counted and all the friends we made that ignited a tiny but meaningful scene.
Bowling On Sunday was recorded in someones house, I can't remember exactly whose or where, for a magazine at Berea High School called "The Blur." It came with a CD featuring all student acts. This was initiated by the talented and inspiring French teacher (and much more) named Chris Reynolds.

That's all! Lost Balls! Hope you enjoy! Keep the pogo pit in your heart alive, hoard some Elmers glue for your next mohawk.
